XP Services & Active Sync

Think I been a bit stupid

I disabled some services with XP home to try and tidy thing up a bit but is has a bad effect on my phone and I now cannot explore any of the folders.

Error

'A vital communication service has failed to start. Reset you mobile device and try again'

I have performed a hard reset of my SPV and reinstalled and upgrade active sync but with no luck.

The worst part of it all is that I now have an original phone that I cannot even customise if I want to.

Does anybody know which XP service I have to restart to be able to Explore mobile deviced connected via USB.
