Guest nedge2k Posted March 10, 2004 Report Posted March 10, 2004 I just rang up orange to try and blag the code to sim unlock my phone. My thinkin was, "hmmn, might cost a bit, then again, might not". I told them i was "going to America" so id have to use a different SIM. They said id have to buy out of my contract or get another phone when i was out there! If there wasnt long left on my contract then i might have considered it but ive only had it three months. Should've stuck with SPV1.
Guest squall Posted March 10, 2004 Report Posted March 10, 2004 this has always been the Orange line. cant expect them to encourage customers to use other service providers...
Guest statscat Posted March 10, 2004 Report Posted March 10, 2004 especially as Operators do still seriously subsidise the cost of the handset.
Guest Maverick Posted March 10, 2004 Report Posted March 10, 2004 Even the XDA 2 can be unlocked :-( ... I hope someone cracks E200 soon.
Guest nedge2k Posted March 10, 2004 Report Posted March 10, 2004 There's sites that claim to do it but personally i think its a load of bull. Something like £20 for an unlock and £400 for the software. Maybe all the MoDaCo E200 users should chuck in a quid and buy it for the site
Guest pisquee Posted March 14, 2004 Report Posted March 14, 2004 You are going to have to pay off your contract anyways, so if you are that desperate why not just do it?
