sending pictures through infra red port

even with smart explorer, i can't seem to send files to other phones (except sap). any other way to send to nokia, siemens?

Nokia Series 40 phones can't receive files over infrared. Series 60 and Siemens x55 series phones will automatically receive files and place the files in the inbox.

I don't know what IR protocol Smart Explorer supports, but you might also want to try Resco Explorer or IA Explorer. Resco and IA Explorer use different protocols and by using both programs let me send files to all my various IR capable devices.

Can you post a link that offers free resco or ia explorer? thanks. i really need it coz i need to transfer filez to my nokia too. i own a nokia 6610 and a 3650.

hi guys! i got myself a resco explorer 2003. but i can't seem to find anywhere a send via IR command. the soft keys are for action and menu right? not anywhere in the two menus does it have an IR function. please do help. thanks

You haven't read what was said.

Series 40 Nokias CAN'T recieve images via infra red. 6610 is a series 40. 6610 can't receive via infra red.

But the 3650 is a Series 60 device using the Symbian OS if I recall correct, and should be able to receive files...?
