Guest kjk Posted March 10, 2004 Report Posted March 10, 2004 This program is a handy tool to quickly check if a particular food item is within the zone while you are shopping. It is based on the below zone diet''s caloric ratio for food items: 40% Carbohydrate 30% Protein 30% Fat Items having these ratios are considered within the zone. To use ZoneCheck: Just enter the calories of the food item from the Nutritional label. The figures will automatically adjust as you enter each digit. ZoneCheck will then display the preferred milligrams for each group. Compare the calculated figures with the ones printed on the item''s nutritional label to determine how compatible the food item is with the zone diet. Press the Clear or Backspace button to enter another food item. There is a lot of info available online about the zone diet. Just enter "zone diet" in Google for the most popular ones.
