SPV E200 ROM installed by Mobistar Belgium (orange)

I guess the 'Belgian' E200 Smartphones may have a slightly different

ROM version (updated ??):

Operator : 1.1.6.5

Manufacturer: 1.6.0.1

Microsoft: 4.20.13288.0

Language: 1.6.0.0

File system: 4.20.13.288.0

The phone has a stand-by time of up to three days, heavy use: <12 hours,

so nothing special there (unfortunately).

Nu buzzing, no hangs/freezes (till now anyway, few weeks old).

Buttons feel solid and OK (till now).

Messenger does NOT work: no way to get it to sign in (not even in cradle)

(how do you get it to work ?: read some reports 'keep on trying': did, no go)..

BUT: in general quite satisfied with this acquisition.

I am afraid 'mobistar' may not even consider offering a ROM upgrade.

This is the first HTC SPV offered by Mobistar in Belgium AFAIK.

BTW. Messenger on the E200 (UK/NL/BE) DOES work. But not if connected in the cradle (pass-through) on an Win Me system. On a Win XP computer, cradle and pass-thru, Messenger works fine.

So, it seems to be system/computer related, not provider or phone.

It's a great phone. Love it !

(Would love the ROM upgrade though).

So, only the (poor battery life) battery issue is left (to me that is).

Haven't used BT, so cannot comment on that feature.
