e200 contacts discrepancies

Sorry if this has already been posted, but I have done a search and couldn't find anything. I have put all my contacts into my e200 with +44... rather than 0.. as was suggested in the handbook, then backed up to Outlook with activesync 3.7. I also do use the phone abroad so the +44 is helpful. However, I had to get a replacement phone ( because of the usual faults!), and when I used activesync to restore my contacts they were all missing the '+' at the start, meaning that all my contacts need to be changed. Does anyone know if this is a fault, or whether I'm doing something wrong? Is it likely to change everytime I use activesync?

Thanks for your help,

Sam

on outlook did u put them in as +44 or 0044?? i put them in as 0044 then transfered all the contacts to my E200 and they get converted to +44 automatically........perhaps if u enter them as +44 in outlook it wont convert that over to the phone and instead give u just 44

I didn't actually enter them into Outlook, I didn't have it working at the time. I entered them into the phone as +44 then synced to outlook at a later date. I have changed all the numbers in Outlook to 0044 now though so I'll see if that makes a difference. Thanks for your help,

Sam

I've now changed Outlook to 0044 and re-synced, it has changed all my contacts to 0044 rather than +44. Is this going to be a problem for texting or anything?

no not at all..........ive added a few numbers manually into my phone as 0044 and they work fine for texting etc (ie they show up the contact name) should be fine :)
