Guest steverae Posted March 11, 2004 Report Posted March 11, 2004 I have just unlocked my orange e200 with the net site, everything went fine, althoughj now i still get the message saying "Installed from an unknown source" message when i try to install apps. I tried pocketMVP and it won't even load, it keeps telling me that "installation failed"., no other reason. Any ideas.
Guest Disco Stu Posted March 11, 2004 Report Posted March 11, 2004 You'll always get that message so no problem there. Check the folder Storage / Windows / AppMgr / Install and delete anything in there. Failed installation files are dumped there and prevent you installing anything esle until it's cleared out. Where did you try to install it - phone or card ? Is there sufficient memory space ? Always go for the card to avoid filling up the phone. Download again and see what happens... It should work :)
Guest steverae Posted March 11, 2004 Report Posted March 11, 2004 Hey disco Stu, Tried what you suggested but it still didn't work. Even cleared my phone of all other stuff to save space, i've got around 12mb spare. installing onto phone as i have no card yet..... message just keeps saying ... Info Pocketmvp.cab failed to install on your device. Is they a way to unpack the cab file and manually install this thing.... or do i have to wait for a e200 version to come out. PS i used the jerre.smartphone.cab installer to install the cab to my phone, this part seems to work fine.
Guest statscat Posted March 11, 2004 Report Posted March 11, 2004 This happened to me, you need to insert an SD card into the slot. I think its because the application gives you the choice to install to either but doesn't default to the "phone" if there is no SD card inserted. Insert and SD card and it should be fine.
