Guest Disco Stu Posted March 11, 2004 Report Posted March 11, 2004 512MB cards are supported. You need to do a search mate as this has been discussed on various threads here and you'll need to find the responses relevant to your phone / card
Guest Richie M Posted March 11, 2004 Report Posted March 11, 2004 Sounds like you have the card lock on, slide the white(or yellow) plastic bit forward on the card :)
Guest kjk Posted March 11, 2004 Report Posted March 11, 2004 have you checked that your card is not lock????
Guest kjk Posted March 11, 2004 Report Posted March 11, 2004 Ooooopppsssssss  cross post with Richie M

Guest dinoalbert Posted March 11, 2004 Report Posted March 11, 2004 can anyone please help me regarding my MMC card (128Mb PQI).....tried it with both my Smartphone and PPC....the device can detect my card thru the File Explorer but I can not paste any file in it, nor can I create any folder in it. I successfully formatted it with my smartphone's SP Task Manger with a message saying "card successfully formatted". BUT whenever I insert the card into my Tanager or PPC, the device will ask me if I want to format it, I clicked yes but it fails, saying "error while formatting card (erro code 0)". When I tried to create a folder, an error message pops up saying "an error occured while creating a folder. the cause may be a read-only destination, the memory full, or a folder with the same name that already exist..." I tired to use my PPCs Pocket Mechanic to Format, Defragment, Repair, etc... but it says "no card found". But with File Explorer (PPC) and Smart Explorer (Smartphone), it detected the Storage Card (blank). What gives?
Guest Ron Jeremy Posted March 16, 2004 Report Posted March 16, 2004 It sounds terminal  I had a problem with a 256MB SD card which was very similar. I contacted the manufacturer and returned them the card. About a month later they sent me a replacement........worth a try?
Guest Kajjy Posted March 17, 2004 Report Posted March 17, 2004 Check my whining - may have something to do with your problem. http://www.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=106088 I don't know the extend of the issue, but as far as I know this applies to 256MB cards - all the 128MB I've tried seems to work fine but I haven't tried any 512MB
