timing out too soon

i received a new original spv as a replacement for a faulty one, and it's firmware is 1.6. the screen times out too soon - for example when reading a text message the phone changes back to the home screen before i've finished reading the text. i can't understand why, and it never did it on my original phone.

any thoughts on this?

have you tried changing the time out settings?

start - settings - power management

or start settings - homescreen

(cant remember what one it is)

Go into Settings, Home Screen and change Time out to Never.

I believe that's a battery saver as well but don't quote me. :wink:
