Guest JaToAc Posted March 11, 2004 Report Posted March 11, 2004 hi, nearly one year ago i bought a used and sim-lock free orange spv/classic while on a business trip to london (living here in germany and using it with my vodafone sim). now trying to update it to the latest rom version i now have a dead parrot :) is there a chance that orange will replace that with a working spv or swap with an e200 when paying the price (and how much would that cost?, send email to orange but no response yet). has someone of you experiences and could shed some light? thanks
Guest ferret Posted March 11, 2004 Report Posted March 11, 2004 Not sure if Orange will replace it (I doubt it to be honest), but if you post details of your "dead parrot" someone here might be able to fix it - you never know! This topic might be of use http://smartphone.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=99068
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted March 11, 2004 Report Posted March 11, 2004 As the phone was secondhand orange will not replace it, as warranties are not normally transferable but also they would not be gaining anything out of it as you do not use their service.
Guest kalinte Posted March 16, 2004 Report Posted March 16, 2004 you might have upgraded it with a different rom version. try upgrading it to your original rom. i encountered this before and that's what i did.
