Connecting to GRPS issues?

I've got an orange MPX which is unlocked, i cannot seem to use gprs settings with another network, i tried using a tmobile sim and putting in tmobile grps settings copied from my old spv but they didnt work (they worked fine on spv) tried my o2 sim card and have the same problem with the o2 settings, does orange lock their firmware to only accept orange grps settings?

if not what am i doing wrong?

the o2 settings can be changed to suit the network provider, varify you have the same setting listed HERE

they are the settings i have on my phone, any ideas?

ive got exactly the same problem your having, ive got a orange unlocked mpx200 on my tmobile sim and i cant access gprs, ive tried loads of differents ways and settings and still nothing, ive had the phone since january without gprs,

i wish i could be of more, help, if you have any luck with your phone let me know please as im considering getting a new phone and i dont really want to!

Do you get the top centre G displayed on the phone ?

yeah i get the g at the top, as far as i know that means the settings are correct and i have gprs coverage, beagle when i was using my tmobile sim in the phone i could send and recieve mms but not use grps on web or wap. with my o2 sim i cant even send a recieve mms, i've heard somewhere that orange lock their software so it will only work with orange gprs, does anyone know if this is true?

also has anyone managed to use their mpx for mms and gprs with any other network provider?
