Guest scott2eyes Posted March 12, 2004 Report Posted March 12, 2004 Does anyone know what kind of things you can pick up cheaply over there which I can get her to bring back with her, and where I can tell her to get them? I gather that electronic goods are cheaper, but there's a different power supply which causes problems. So far, I've (predictably) told her to be on the lookout for a nice big SD card... Any suggestions?
Guest ncolli1981 Posted March 12, 2004 Report Posted March 12, 2004 Scott, If you wanna make a bit of cash ........ Tell her to bring back some watches, I was in Thailand last year, I purchased about ten watches, all good makes, for about $5 each, brought them back home and sold them for £25 a pop, not bad for a bit of quick cash and they don't take up much space in a suit case.
Guest Maverick Posted March 12, 2004 Report Posted March 12, 2004 I dont think the power suppy is different. Its the same 220 volts. You probably need to get an adaptor for the power socket, which you can get there itself..quite cheap. I have bought some electronic stuff there and used it both in India and the UK.
