Hard Reset Help... please

Hi there, i've followed all the hard reset topics in this forum and so far have been Unsuccessful.

Please can someone tell me how to do this, cause its driving me mad :)

:) Hello and welcome to the forum. Presuming you have an E200 you can simply select "clear storage" from the accessories folder and that'll do it for you.

Thanks but the problem is I put the keylock password on and cant unlock it now.... forgotten password.

I dont know how I managed this cause its 4 didgits and I already unlocked it this afternoon but NE way its still askin for password.

SO now I need ot hard reset and cant get to the start menu to do it from the software...

Any other ideas?

Are you still able to sync it with your computer? Because if you are, then do a search for software called TheTweak and it'll attempt to find your password for you.

nope when I stick it on the sync cradle it asks for password....

So far unlucky...

I've also tried running the program TheTweak and it doesnt do anything.

I'm uisng Win XP

I'm pretty sure the other way of hard resetting will require keys too.

My only suggestion would be to private message one of the moderators, awarner, will or paul o'brain and tell them your situation. good luck.

failing that hays technology would be able to sort it for you i'd imagine, but you'd have to send it off.

What problems are you having when you try and Hard reset?

Thanks for everyones help on this. FInally figured out the combination.

For those who cant get the reset combination working follow this:

1) Press and hold the record button

2) Press and hold the power button. This will switch on and give the messages "press any key to go to bootloader"

3) Press and hold the action key (joypad)

4) Let go of the record button and power button.

You will now get the prompt to press buttons, select no:8 for hard reset

This will sort out your problem :)

It will take a while to boot again so leave it for about 5 mins or so.

Your phone will be reset to 'out of box state' and you will have lost all your contacts, appointments etc...

Hope you made a back up not that long ago :wink:

another related question, now that I hav a hard reset how do I associate the smartphone name withthe one registered on my comp?
