Guest strider01 Posted March 13, 2004 Report Posted March 13, 2004 Hi all, I have an O2 Xphone and was wondering has anyone heard of an alarm clock for the Smartphone that allows you to turn off the phone and still have the alarm work. Like a real alarm clock. All my cheapie phones have this function surely there must be someone out there smart enough to have written one!! This is a real pain if there is not an alarm function. I know the phone has one but you must leave it on!! A drain on batteries even on Flight Mode.
Guest Palindrome Posted March 13, 2004 Report Posted March 13, 2004 As far as I know you have to have the phone on for the alarm to work. Sadly there isn't a workaround for this. I just keep my phone on the charger all night.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted March 14, 2004 Report Posted March 14, 2004 The only other option you have is to turn the radio part of the phone off. Unlike nokias the phone uses the OS to enable the alarm, and as the phone is the same as a PC technically when you power the phone off you shut the OS down.
