Guest robdes Posted March 13, 2004 Report Posted March 13, 2004 I am trying to organize the start menu items into folders. However a number of the shortcuts refused to be moved either via explorer when the phone is synced or within the file manager on the phone. I have unchecked all the attributes like read-only and system but I still get a message that I cannot move the item. Any ideas?
Guest ferret Posted March 13, 2004 Report Posted March 13, 2004 You need to app unlock your phone first.

Guest someone Posted March 19, 2004 Report Posted March 19, 2004 I found this in the Midnight regestry tweak: (hey how is it possible that the word tweak links to the article while I haven't set it as an url?? Moderators?) Open up Regedit, and browse to the following: HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Microsoft/Shell/StartMenu Select 'Values' Select 'Order' In the value data you can now change the order of the links in the start menu. The easier way to find the link names is to open up All Explorer, Smartexplorer, or even browse to the phone via the computer, and look at the files in 'IPSMWindowsStart Menu'. Don't forget to add '.lnk' at the end of the program name, or it won't work. If you want any of your own custom links, just make sure you put them in the IPSMWindowsStart Menu folder. Now you must reboot your phone for the changes to take effect. I hope this can help you.
