Guest cjmillsnun Posted March 13, 2004 Report Posted March 13, 2004 OK after hearing some of the stories of car chargers not charging phones, I've found one that works. Go to your friendly O2 shop and ask for one for the XDAII. I did and in a 1/4 hr charge the battery went from nearly flat to 40ish % NB the one for the original XDA is no good as it doesn't put out enough power, make sure it is for the XDAII.
Guest shampoo Posted March 14, 2004 Report Posted March 14, 2004 Did you have bluetooth on while it was charging? If not, can you try charging with bluetooth on and see if that appears to work as well please?! Thanks

Guest dazza12 Posted March 15, 2004 Report Posted March 15, 2004 Got one from the O shop, now that they finally have them in. As there have been problems, I asked the guy to confirm that the charger actually fitted and worked with the phone. The charger was stickered E200, and he attempted to plug the charger into my phone to confirm it fits. After about a minute of him fiddling about he eventually got it in. Tried it on the way home and it didn't work. However it worked with my brother's E200. I then cradled my E200 when it got home, and it no longer sits straight and won't charge at all. Turns out the idiot in the shop broke the connector on the phone. Doh! I've now rung O, and they are sending out another phone tomorrow evening. I'm hoping the battery on my phone lasts that long! The charger stocked in the O shop at the moment does appear to charge, as my brother is using it whilst I am waiting for my replacement phone.

Have compared the XDAII charger with car charger in O shop and it is identical. Both made by ORA same voltage and amperage. But XDAII charger is £19.99 compared to O shops £24.99. And charges fine with BT enabled.
