Guest roozbeh Posted March 14, 2004 Report Posted March 14, 2004 Hi there.... is there any program that can play mp3 or wma as ringtones out there? Thanks
Guest midnight Posted March 14, 2004 Report Posted March 14, 2004 windows mobile 2003 can play wma as ringtones, smartphone 2002 however, cannot, and there is no app to do it either.
Guest agent.m Posted March 14, 2004 Report Posted March 14, 2004 Read mpx100 can use mp3 as ringtones. or were they meaning wma?? :?
Guest roozbeh Posted March 15, 2004 Report Posted March 15, 2004 so any software for mp3 playing for spv?
Guest midnight Posted March 15, 2004 Report Posted March 15, 2004 Read mpx100 can use mp3 as ringtones. or were they meaning wma?? :? i would think it would be wma, but there is a new sound engine being released sometime that orange have struck a deal with, and that can play mp3, wma, ogg, mod, xm, midi etc as ringtones
Guest FuNKySoULyBrO Posted March 16, 2004 Report Posted March 16, 2004 The Mitac Mio 8390 can play pure mp3 as ringtone.
Guest roozbeh Posted March 16, 2004 Report Posted March 16, 2004 but it is amazing why nobody created a software for playing mp3 and ogg for spv...
Guest Richie M Posted March 16, 2004 Report Posted March 16, 2004 but it is amazing why nobody created a software for playing mp3 and ogg for spv... not sure about ogg(never used them) but PocketMVP plays mp3s i believe and of course there's PocketMusic as well (maybe a look in the software section would be benificial to you) :)
Guest roozbeh Posted March 17, 2004 Report Posted March 17, 2004 lol... yeah i know...i am also working on pocketmvp...so i know these...[well try my patch too then]... i mean playing mp3 and ogg as ringtone....pocketmvp doesnt do this....i was wondering if nobody created this so i try to create a mp3 and ogg ringtone playing software for spv
Guest Richie M Posted March 17, 2004 Report Posted March 17, 2004 :) sorry i miss understood you
Guest midnight Posted March 17, 2004 Report Posted March 17, 2004 i dont think theres any need to play those two as ringtones if wm2k3 can play wma as ringtones, wma is just as good compression, if not better, and is the standard music and video format used by MS (so makes perfect sense)
Guest Simon Desser Posted March 17, 2004 Report Posted March 17, 2004 I agree with Midnight, one or the format other is fine as a ringtone (mp3 or WMA) and WMA makes sense as it's MS, but it's a shame (at present) they can't be stored on your storage card :? Orange put that right with recent E100 ROMs, but didn't include that feature on the E200 :?: :?
Guest roozbeh Posted March 17, 2004 Report Posted March 17, 2004 well that is right but i have an i-mate with 2002 rom..so what should i do? you mean orange update can play wmas? so can i update mine to orange...and wich rom version...
