Guest bennewhamben Posted March 14, 2004 Report Posted March 14, 2004 I have had my MPx200 since it came out and am about to have it replaced under the Orange Care scheme. I have had problems with- Very poor battery life, less that 12 hours with NO calls or anything at all Doesnt answer calls when flip is opened, the screen stays blank Doesnt make calls at times, even with signal and re-boot Crashes I dont really want to recieve another MPx200 or even a E200 as this seems to have its fair share of problems. I think I may ask for the Nokia 6600 or SE P800/900. What do lot recommed I say in order to get a nice new, reliable phone? I am going to try and aviod the £15 admin charge as well! Ben
Guest Pulse Posted March 14, 2004 Report Posted March 14, 2004 You should get a hell of a lot more battery time than that with the MPX200. Try getting it replaced and keeping it.
Guest phonesmarts Posted March 15, 2004 Report Posted March 15, 2004 yeah, those problems don't seem typical of the mpx. it usually: a.) doesn't crash (i never had a crash since i got the phone) b.) long battery life compared to similar phones c.) answers calls when i flip it open so im guessing your phone is defected. just replace it and keep the new one
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted March 15, 2004 Report Posted March 15, 2004 Agree with phonesmarts as well, this is the most reliable phone I have had with a constant 3day battery life. I would definately get it replaced. It would be pointless getting a P800 as it is obsolete as such and it would be unlikly to get an upgrade to P900.
Guest Pulse Posted March 15, 2004 Report Posted March 15, 2004 Yeah, agree with awarner, definitely. Heard a lot of good things about them. Maybe you just got a duff one. After owning an MPx200, you'd hate both the 6600 and the P800. You wont get an upgrade to a P900.
Guest jamesg Posted March 15, 2004 Report Posted March 15, 2004 bennenwhamben, I was in a similar situation to you. Orange care have no MPx200's in stock. If you call for a replacement - O will offer you a Trio 600, an E200, a Nokia 7250i or a Nokia 6600.
