Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted March 15, 2004 Report Posted March 15, 2004 If you can nolonger attend, please e-mail [email protected] again, from the same address you registered with, with "REGISTRATION CANCELLATION" in the subject line. Thanks! Hi people! It's that time of year again, together with Microsoft and Orange we at MoDaCo Smartphone have organised the third Official MoDaCo Event! This time we're going back to Microsoft in London and we have a line up of speakers and activities to keep you entertained. So, heres the crucial information: First: The number of available places is limited to 40 members only. Sorry that this is so few, however it is the largest capacity room available. We will be allocating places on a first come first served basis, however remember MoDaCo Plus members get priority registration. If more than 40 Plus members sign up then places will be allocated by Plus sign up date. Second: Where: The meet will be in the Microsoft MSN building in London, as with the first meet. The full address is as follows: Swimming Pool Room, Microsoft London, Microsoft House, 10 Great Pulteney St, London, W1F 9NB Third: When: 1:30pm - 5:30pm Saturday April 24th 2004 Fourth: The Microsoft blurb: Attend the MoDaCo User Group Event, and hear from Microsoft and Orange as they demonstrate the exciting future of mobile technology today with Windows Mobile™ software for Smartphone. Participate in Q&A, meet other User Group members and win some great prizes. Bring along your Smartphone and don't miss this opportunity to: Learn about key, innovative offerings and the future of mobile technology for Smartphone Hear valuable device user tips and get answers to your questions Discover applications and services to increase your efficiency and productivity Win amazing prizes - A MoDaCo raffle and quiz will give lucky winners an opportunity to win software, accessories, and devices. But you should all know the drill by now. Turn up and meet your fellow forum members, chat and have fun! Fifth: The agenda: This is by no means a strict run of events, however we will try and keep the day loosely along these lines: Pre-event 1.00pm MoDaCo developers .NET CF discussions Main Event 1.30pm Arrival and lunch 2.30pm Introduction – MoDaCo 2.45pm Steve Clayton & John de Lara (Microsoft) Voice server update Exchange 2003 3.00pm Tim Leung & Tony Poll (Microsoft) : .NET Compact Framework 3.15pm David Ogle (Orange) 3.30pm Break 3.45pm MoDaCo Quiz 4.10pm Demos/chats 5.30pm Closing – MoDaCo As always there will be competitions, free stuff and the traditional raffle to raise money for charity. Pre-meet You may have noticed the first part of the agenda is a "pre-meet". We want this to be a mini-meet specifically for developers of Smartphone software, whether you do it for a living or for fun, we have this time allocated specifically for you to talk to each other and to us at MoDaCo. We are planning on expanding the site to incorporate more support and information on developing with .NET and the .NET Compact Framework, and want to hear your ideas about what you would want from such a site.
