I am currently undecided on whether to buy the E200 or not. I currently have a P800 but would like to move to a device that syncs properly with outlook and gives one-handed operation. I was drawn to the MPX100 specs but as its not yet avaialble I decided to go for the E200 but with the current bugs and state of support from orange is this a wise move? Or should I hang on to my P800 and wait till the motos arrive? Thanks for any comments.

Another thing is the 128mb limit on both the P800 and P900 phones which I think is very poor

it depends what you want from the phone.is a camera and bluetooth a must have? if so then you'll be looking at the E200 if not then why not take a look at the MPX.its a hard question to answer some people will post that the E200 is better than the MPX and vice versa.

Id go E200 as it has so many advanced features which outweights the defects and weaknesses it has.

The e200 tends to be less expensive that the P900, and there will be an update released real soon that will correct many of the bugs.

The will soon be a way to sim unlock the e200 to.

I defenitely need bluetooth as I already have a bluetooth headset, camera is not too important. Ive seen the mpx (i presume you mean the mpx200) but one thing i also need is the multiple inbox of smartphone 2003

I'd recommend the E200 for the same reasons.

Are you on Orange already ? You should get an E200 for less than £50 if your circumstances are right.

If you get one from a shop perhaps you could try a voice call before you leave to see if you can hear the buzzing (I can't).

I like the look of the shiny new Motos ( and all the others  ) but am not holding my breath for their release.

im currently on t-mobile and have already got my pac number but its just the current issues im concerned about, if the uk update was available id be able to make a better judgement. Im already commeited to the smartphone platform as the other application i also want seems to be a disctinct reality, namely mapopolis, the current gps software for P800 is not up to scratch, I might just wait till the update and see

I don't know if we'll ever learn...

You're basically recommending a phone that has serious flaws, on the basis that an update will fix some of them. That's like saying "Buy this really fast car, and in a couple of months the manufacturer might add some brakes, and then in 6 months or so they'll fix the seatbelts too".

Don't get me wrong... I loved my E100 at first, but buying any SPV variant is a lottery - if you get a good one then great, but if it's a bad one you have to send it back time and time again.

i wrote this first indicating that id go for the phone regardless of the flaws

and went on to say

I didnt recommend the phone because there will be an update - i recomended it because of its features - the update is a bonus!
