Guest FrankyG Posted March 16, 2004 Report Posted March 16, 2004 Hi, I'm wondering whats the best option for internet telephony, anyone got experiene of using Netmeeting or other software? My GF is in Australia, and is about to get ADSL installed, I'm on NTL Broadband myself, thats why the question :) Although my IP doesn't change that often, is there a better way to call a PC on the internet, not using the IP address? That would save checking my IP hasn't changed before she tries to call. At the moment, I'm calling Oz for 4p/min anytime which I think isn't bad at all, but may as well try this VoIP thingy!
Guest stevewright Posted March 16, 2004 Report Posted March 16, 2004 I've used MSN Messenger. I have 150kbps ADSL, and my Dad (albeit in UK with me) has 56kbps dial-up, and it works fine.
Guest spacemonkey Posted March 16, 2004 Report Posted March 16, 2004 I've used skype (peer to peer VoIP) Haven't used it to overseas but around england it was great. It's free too
