Guest yoos Posted March 16, 2004 Report Posted March 16, 2004 As shown here: http://shop.orange.co.uk/shop/show/accesso...ge_spv_e200/all Does it really boost the signal alot?
Guest drblow Posted March 16, 2004 Report Posted March 16, 2004 I find it amazing that Orange actually offer a product that boosts the signal of a phone indoors!!?? Are they not supposed to work properly then?
Guest yoos Posted March 16, 2004 Report Posted March 16, 2004 Well, I would like it if it works because in my house I don't get the greatest reception and was hoping this could help. It could be the phone or not enough cell towers nearby...
Guest Palindrome Posted March 16, 2004 Report Posted March 16, 2004 I'd like a bluetooth signal enhancer. My bluetooth dongle has a range of 100m but my walls seem to block it to the extent that I can't use it 5m out of the room.
Guest stevewright Posted March 16, 2004 Report Posted March 16, 2004 Palindrome - your dongle has a range of 100m, but your phone has a range of 10m
Guest James Posted March 17, 2004 Report Posted March 17, 2004 i think someone needs to buy one (not me) and give a review.. would love one in my house as signal is poor Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest Palindrome Posted March 17, 2004 Report Posted March 17, 2004 Ah, right. Thanks for pointing that out, stevewright.
Guest Coucou Posted March 17, 2004 Report Posted March 17, 2004 i think someone needs to buy one (not me) and give a review.. would love one in my house as signal is poor Posted from my SmartPhone! Buy it, if it doesn't work to your expectations return it within a few days. That's in your consumer rights, you don't need anything in their T&Cs or anything. :)
Guest AaronSoup Posted March 17, 2004 Report Posted March 17, 2004 I had one of these for an older phone of mine... All they are is an adaption of the Car Aerials you can buy... They work very well in my experience. Although I have never tried out this particular one... When using one in my grandma's valley in Devon (signal blackspot) I could acheive 3 bars signal on a nokia....
Guest fred_s Posted March 30, 2004 Report Posted March 30, 2004 Just ordered one and will let you know if it works - at the moment I get 1 bar on a clear day and 0 with clouds at home. I'll also have a look at the design and post some details. Its a bit difficult to tell from the low res pic on O's web site, but it looks like a dipole but could be a helix. Anyway if there's a quick way to get 50% of the effect for £0 I'll post it.
Guest yoos Posted March 30, 2004 Report Posted March 30, 2004 Thanks Fred! I'll definitely be interested in hearing if it helps... I sent an email to Orange asking if they would ship to the USA and they said no! :| :)
