Guest iceberg4 Posted March 16, 2004 Report Posted March 16, 2004 My first post here. I got my E-100 in Canada last month. I had the Futurama theme on my phone. I removed the program yesterday with my Remove programs. After the program was removed my Media Player stopped working. I can't load it anymore. Is there anyway to get this program working again? Also my Volume control is not working either now. I don't see the Volume screen anymore. Is there a fix for these problems? Would installing the theme back solve my problems? Need some info. Thank you, I L K E R
Guest badboy4life Posted March 16, 2004 Report Posted March 16, 2004 The cause of Media Player not starting is that it can't find the skin to load, again similarly with the volume. Uninstalling it should have reverted the screens back. Your best bet is installing the cab in this thread : http://www.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=93963 which should revert the screens and fix your problems and would save you having to reinstall the theme. PS. Welcome to MoDaCo!!!
Guest iceberg4 Posted March 16, 2004 Report Posted March 16, 2004 Thanks for the help badboy. The funny thing is i have all the old skins still in my phone for the Media Player and my volume, it just won't load them. I will try to down load the cab. file tonight to revert the screens back. Hope it will solve the problem. Thanks,
Guest badboy4life Posted March 16, 2004 Report Posted March 16, 2004 Basically when you installed the futurama theme, the install changed the registry values as to where to find the skins. When you uninstalled it the registry should have changed back, but never. All this cab does is change the registry values back to what they initially were and therefore the phone loads the old skins. You could change the values back manually using a registry editor, but this way is far easier and safer.
