When I send an MMS from my SPV E200 to my wife's Samsung E700, the picture on her phone is scrambled and not viewable.

She can send me one and I can view it perfectly.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Maybe it a problem with the image capture size or quality? Try a picture with poorer quality

I've got the same problem, tried with my original SPV and my E200 with the same result as you. Have tried various settings for the pictures, but no joy. I sent samsung an Email and they said I needed to contact the network ??.It's a shame as my wife is the only one I send MMS to.

my sife sent me one, and i sent it back and it was fine. So it must be some sort of setting on our SPV, but I'm buggered if I know what it is! Tried everything I think.

I suppose you could both send an MMS (containing picture) to the your email address and then compare the image properties using PC software.

Just an idea :)

Good idea. I just did that and checked my wifes photo and one I took myself, and they are both jpg's, both 640x480, both 118 pixels per cm resolution, both true colour 2 bit, both 5.42 x 4.07 cm in size.

Can anyone think of any other details I can check ?

OK, even after the ROM update, the photo's are still scrambling when I send them to my wifes Samsung E700. Any ideas anyone? She's the only one I'd ever send to !

have you tried contacting your service providers? They might know, at least it is worth a try

For the most part, I think that MMS is so poorly done on the E100/E200 that it is not worth me trying to send a message, and I advise my friends not to send me any.

I can't recall when I have been able to send a MMS successfully to another non-Smartphone (e.g. T610) that hasn't had to be downloaded as an e-mail. And when someone sends me a MMS, I either don't get past the 'message downloading' screen as just get 'download failed'.

Phoned OCS about it, but they haven't got a clue. I would love to know if MPx users have similar problems, cos otherwise my future is looking distinctly un-Smartphone like.

I think you should give this a try:

Phone orange data services on 156 from your handset and ask them to send you the GPRS setting and MMS settings for your SPV. ONce these have been sent save them.

Im pretty sure there are default pictures on the SPV try sending one of them and see what happens. If this doesnt work try doing a hard reset on the phone and make sure everything is backed up. Ive got a SPVE200 and a MPx200 and they both work fine.

Give it a shot!!!
