Guest A.Hughes Posted March 17, 2004 Report Posted March 17, 2004 I dont know whether its me or not, but can you transfer data on one sd card to another? Ive bought a bigger sd card, but to save time if thats the right approach, i wanted to copy my old sd card info onto my desktop and then transfer onto the new sd card. Have tried this already, problem is all the info doesnt copy or either transfer.... Anyone out there had a similar issue, if so how did you resolve it. Thanks in advance guys :?
Guest Disco Stu Posted March 17, 2004 Report Posted March 17, 2004 I've done that a few times successfully using ActiveSync and copy & paste to / from PC My Documents. It can take a while so I've invested in a card reader now but haven't used it yet. What bits didn't transfer properly ?
Guest A.Hughes Posted March 17, 2004 Report Posted March 17, 2004 It seems that cos the sd card is formatted, 1 the reader cant read it 2. when i use active sync to copy over the old card data to my desktop, loads of files are missing desktop shows its copying, but when it finishes theres only about 14 files on my desktop. Strange thing is the last time i done something similar, all the sd card data transfered to my desktop and then back onto my sd card nothing missing, but this was pre format!!!! So at the mo, it looks as though the rest of this evening i will have to load the new sd card manually, one by one so to speak
Guest Disco Stu Posted March 17, 2004 Report Posted March 17, 2004 Bad news :) I've never formatted an SD card so have not come across this.
Guest squall Posted March 17, 2004 Report Posted March 17, 2004 not come across this either - but sd card readers are the way to go! i got mine for about £7 from ebuyer
