Guest tangoman65 Posted March 17, 2004 Report Posted March 17, 2004 Hi all, sorry if this has been on before. I have an Orange SPV E200, I have purchased a Viking 128mb card and sent it back, and then a Kingston 128mb card, and again sent it back, the reason is that neither could be written to. I had the lock tab off so should have been able to write to it. Has anyone else had this problem? I understand from Kingston Tech Support there are 2 types of sd card, single layer cell, and dual layer cell cards. Dual layer cards will not be written to but single layer will. The problem is that sites don't advertise which cards are which. Can anyone give me any help towards finding a resolution or a single layer card? Regards Tango. :-({|=
Guest ncolli1981 Posted March 17, 2004 Report Posted March 17, 2004 Hello tango, you are right in what you say about single and multi cell sd cards, as the manfacturer don't state wether the card is singe or multi cell it is a case of buy it, test it and if it doesn't work send it back, there is a thread on here somewhere in which people have listed which sd cards they have purchased and wether they work or not. the other option is to buy a card reader, you can get them from amazon or ebuyer for abut £10. You then just stick in your sd card, write the files onto the card, put the sd card into your phone and it should have no problem reading the card. I bought a Hagiwara Card, which the E200 won't read, instead of sending it back i bought a card reader and now now i just write the files onto the card using a reader. hope this helps.
