Guest Paul [MVP] Posted March 19, 2004 Report Posted March 19, 2004 MiTAC have announced the forthcoming 8860 at CEBIT, thanks to our friend Arne at PPCW.net for the great pic. The phone seems to be a slightly rehashed 8390 featuring a colour external LCD. The specs are still disappointing, with a 300k pixel camera and no bluetooth, only the explicit mention of SDIO support looks promising for those of use with SD GPS and WiFi hardware... P
Guest Zim Posted March 19, 2004 Report Posted March 19, 2004 Still no bluetooth, though the colour front screen and the sleeker housing makes it much more admirable but hey i am happy with my 8390!! :):D:D:D "Z"
Guest sabio_proeliat Posted March 19, 2004 Report Posted March 19, 2004 Does anyone know when it will hit the market?
Guest nickcornaglia Posted March 20, 2004 Report Posted March 20, 2004 If it's SDIO, you could use a BT SD card, right? I wish companies would make these phones with two SD slots. Maybe the phone would be cheaper and you have the option to "ADD-ON" features like WiFi and BlueTooth....AND still have a slot available for program/file memory.
