e200 wont sync to my pc

hi, need a bit of help with my e200. cant seem to get it to sync to my pc. it shows down on the system tray that it it is connecting (the green circle is moving) but it just says connecting!! have de/reinstalled activesync 3.7.1 but it stils doesnt work. have tried switching the phone off/on, plugging the cradle into all four usb ports. it does say 'found new hardware, smartphone usb sync' and then says 'installing the software' but the green circle still keeps moving. i have zonealarm activated if this may have anything to do with it? please help, thanks!!!

Hi - I have exactly the same problem. I'm using XP and I've tried it with zonealarm on and off. I also am running McAfee antivirus / firewall but I've also tried it on another PC with neither and it still doesn't work so I'm not sure that has anything to do with it! I can't get the 'Create Partnership' utility to run and that's why it won't sync' even though the PC knows there's a Smartphone connected. The one PC I have manged to set it up on was running XP with zonealarm but was a desktop not a laptop like the ones I'm having trouble with. Orange and Microsoft Support have both been b****y useless! Please let me know if you get anywhere!

may sound to simple but try restarting your computers--i had this trouble and a restart of the computer resolved it.

Also try it without zonealarm ive heard this can cause problems. :?

wahey, got it working now!!! deactivated zonealarm completely from the system tray and it syncs up no probs. if you right click on the icon and goto 'shutdown zonealarm' it closes it completely, then plug in your usb cradle and then connect the phone, you should have no probs then!!!
