Guest cool-freak Posted March 19, 2004 Report Posted March 19, 2004  I have a big problem,I can´t unlock my SPV. I´ve tried two ways: 1º-The mobiles.com way, wich we have to copy a file from windows and replace it by another one;and 2º-Using the SPVunlock program from airfagev.com. In the first one I couldn´t copy the file on time, the activesync is too slow,in the second one the program gives me a number but i don´t know where to put it. Can anyone please help me? I´m from Portugal and I can´t use the phone until I unlock it. Tanks
Guest mcwarre Posted March 19, 2004 Report Posted March 19, 2004 Are you talking about sim unlock or app unlock???
Guest squall Posted March 19, 2004 Report Posted March 19, 2004 when you get the number from the second number restart your phone with a locked sim card - ie one from a different network. when the phone switches on it will ask for the unlock code. enter it and your phone will unlock.
Guest cool-freak Posted March 20, 2004 Report Posted March 20, 2004 when you get the number from the second number restart your phone with a locked sim card - ie one from a different network. when the phone switches on it will ask for the unlock code. enter it and your phone will unlock.Tanks squall for helping me.The thing is when I first tryied the phone with the sim card it apeared the message "sim card missing or sim card invalid" and after that "insert sim card unlocking code".When I got home I made a ISPM reset but couldn´t copy the file to the windows directory. So I tried unlocking it whit the unlocking program. But when I reboot the phone it only apears the message "sim card missing or sim card invalid..."and so on.I press "Done" but nothing happens.I´m gonna try with some other sim card and see what happens. How can I know if it´s 1.6 or 1.7 O.S.? Tanks a lot
Guest squall Posted March 20, 2004 Report Posted March 20, 2004 cant tell rom version until you get it loaded up... Would try it with another sim card to :)
Guest cool-freak Posted March 21, 2004 Report Posted March 21, 2004 I´m gonna try with a sim card from another network. Il will soon answer back. Cheers
Guest cool-freak Posted March 21, 2004 Report Posted March 21, 2004 Forgot to ask something. If the phone asked for the code at the first time it means it can be unlock, right?
Guest squall Posted March 21, 2004 Report Posted March 21, 2004 yeah - but should ask ever time you enter a different networks sim card until the phone has been unlocked
Guest cool-freak Posted March 22, 2004 Report Posted March 22, 2004 Ok,i´ve unlocked the phone but i still have a problem.I inserted a diferent sim card from vodagone and he soon asked for the number to unlock. When i put the number he asked for the pin and said that the phone was unlocked.I used the phone, even watched two videos in the media player. When i turned it of and tryed my sim card he wouldn´t move from the first picture(orange, with the sun and the sea).I´ve tryed over and over and it´s always the same.I´t stays like that forever and I´ts been more than an hour.On my first atempt to unlock it i erased the ISPM,do you think it has something to do with that? Has this apened to you or anyone? If it makes things better my email is [email protected]. Please help me :)
Guest squall Posted March 22, 2004 Report Posted March 22, 2004 rerun the 1.6 update from the boot loader - this will allow your phone to boot - but all information will be reset. To get into the bootloader hold power button and voice record button when you switch your phone on.
Guest cool-freak Posted March 22, 2004 Report Posted March 22, 2004 I know how to enter the bootload but how can I run the 1.6 update? The only option I have on the phone is to earse the IPSM.It´s someting like this: 0: 1: 2: 3: 4: 5: 6: 7: 8:Erase IPSM
Guest squall Posted March 22, 2004 Report Posted March 22, 2004 enter the bootloader - then put the phone in the docking cradle. Next run the 1.6 update that can be found >>HERE<<
Guest cool-freak Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 I´ve suceded to unlock it. Alll I had to do was erase the IPSM again. Now i´m able to use any sim card. My question now is:is it software unlocked? How can I install smart explorer?
Guest squall Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 THIS THREAD allows you to application unlock your phone
Guest cool-freak Posted March 29, 2004 Report Posted March 29, 2004 I tried to unlock it but when i insert the text it that it´s not valid. I´ve tried almost everything! Do you have any sugestion?
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted March 29, 2004 Report Posted March 29, 2004 To application unlock (decert) you need to unlock via the Orange developers site. Click on OTA for more information and a direct link to the developers site.
Guest cool-freak Posted March 29, 2004 Report Posted March 29, 2004 That´s what i did.It says it´s not a valid shortcut.
Guest cool-freak Posted March 29, 2004 Report Posted March 29, 2004 I also tried using the aplication file No Warez. but it says it´s "not digitaly autorised" or something. What can I do now?
Guest martin Posted March 29, 2004 Report Posted March 29, 2004 As awarner said, you will need to use the developers site. Click on OTA and you will see two links on the page. Click on the one that contains comdef.aspx Posted from my SmartPhone!

Guest jonathan ten Posted April 6, 2004 Report Posted April 6, 2004 anybody can tell me how to unlock spv phone.i have been tried many times, but it isn't work.please tell me thanks
Guest Disco Stu Posted April 6, 2004 Report Posted April 6, 2004 Well,I went to that site and did all the procedure but didn´t receive anithing! I´m from Portugal,do you think it has somethink to do with that? Do I have to conect my phone to the web? "Please note that the unlock/lock processes will cause your SPV to make a short outbound data call. This may incur a small charge in some countries." Portugal should be fine but it also says this : "1. That your SPV has previously been used to connect to the Internet at least once. This allows us to automatically register your SPV details with the provider of the lock/unlock service, so that we can accurately identify your device before unlocking it."
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted April 6, 2004 Report Posted April 6, 2004 If you are not on Orange and not in the UK you need to use passthrough and your PC's internet connection rather than trying to decert using GPRS. Have a look in the Help and Advice section, there is a sticky post with instructions on how to do this.
