Guest Desert_man Posted March 19, 2004 Report Posted March 19, 2004 My phone show the below message from yesterday: "alert:Your phone is running low on free storage space.Delete old or unused items to create space" I removed all the unused data, sych as pictures, mid files etc. from my phone (not the SD card), but still I have only 362 kb free! When I tried to explore the windows directory in the phone, I noticed that I have many files that look like this: "MsgQueueDataFileMicrosoft Broadcast Message SMS Protocol (receive only)" Each of the above file is 1.65 mb big! I tried to delete these files but cannot be deleted. What can I do to free space at my phone? Before I deleted some pic and mid files, the phone couldn;t either boot! It started up after 20 minutes I opened my phone! Please, if someone can give me a clue, help!
Guest squall Posted March 19, 2004 Report Posted March 19, 2004 Each of the above file is 1.65 mb big! I tried to delete these files but cannot be deleted. What can I do to free space at my phone? dont worry about these files - the size is being incorrectly reported. I have had no experiance with any mio phone - however as it is a smartphone like any other i assue you can hard reset in a similar fassion to the spv etc. Click on the words hard reset - this will wipe your phone back to the factory settings so be sure to back up contacts etc.
Guest Desert_man Posted March 20, 2004 Report Posted March 20, 2004 Ian thanks for your reply! as I said: "Each of the above file is 1.65 mb big! I tried to delete these files but cannot be deleted. What can I do to free space at my phone? " IAN WROTE "dont worry about these files - the size is being incorrectly reported. " No, the size of each file is correctly 1.65 mb! And they are about 5 of them! Anyway, how EXACTLY can I make a hard reset as you say? Best regards BILLY
Guest squall Posted March 21, 2004 Report Posted March 21, 2004 believe me the files are not 1.65 mb - windows has set aside 1.65 mb for these files but does not use the 1.65 mb. I believe if you check the file properties in smartexplorer the correct size will be given. To answer your question click on the words > HARD RESET
Guest Desert_man Posted March 22, 2004 Report Posted March 22, 2004 Thanks Ian! I appreciate your help! I'll try to make a hard reset! Best regars!
