Guest eyup Posted March 19, 2004 Report Posted March 19, 2004 Hi, I've never had a problem moving my start menu icons into new folders but today (post uk update) i keep getting error messages when i try. Its say file cannot be moved because it may be in use, or is read only. I dont think its read only (atleast check box for this isnt ticked in properties) so it must be in use. How do i stop this so i can rearrange my start menu again? Its happening with every icon i try to move. Creating new folders is fine but cannot put existing icons into them :-( Thanks
Guest moo_ski_doo Posted March 19, 2004 Report Posted March 19, 2004 Have you app-unlocked your phone since the update?
Guest spacemonkey Posted March 20, 2004 Report Posted March 20, 2004 app unlock is definitely what you need. I presume orange has done this in their "wisdom" because items like the orange plugin, default MRU list etc are based on icon locations. Anyway, to unlock go to http://www.developers.orange.co.uk/devzone click signature device, then e100 then follow the links refering to security.
Guest eyup Posted March 20, 2004 Report Posted March 20, 2004 hi agains thanks for the replies and no i havent app unlocked again yet  I never realised it had an effect on the icons. Thanks for the heads up. :)
