Guest gannet Posted March 20, 2004 Report Posted March 20, 2004 Hi, i might be sounding rather dumb here :? , but i'm not up on all the technical jargon displayed in this site. I don't seem to have a problem getting on the internet with my e200, but i have noticed that nobody else seems to be able to receive pictures i have sent them on their phone, but i can send them to e-mail address's no problem. Would the settings you list in your post solve this problem? If not, what difference to my phone would all those settings make? Cheers Gannet.
Guest nickcornaglia Posted March 20, 2004 Report Posted March 20, 2004 The only people able to receive pics via MMS on ATT are others with MMS on ATT....I believe. You can't send from one carrier to another. I've never ever used MMS other than sending something to myself to test. Email has always worked for me. MMS should be as universal as email, IMO!!!!
Guest clacke Posted May 22, 2004 Report Posted May 22, 2004 I just boought my AT&T e200. I cannot find any MMS functions available for the phone. I get to Options, but I have no account setup. I do have an e-mail setup and it is configured. but no MMS options.
Guest nickcornaglia Posted May 22, 2004 Report Posted May 22, 2004 When you say AT&T e200..... do you mean you bought an e200 and are trying to configure it for AT&T or do you mean that you have an MPx200 that you bought from AT&T. If you meant the first...look at step #9 If you meant the second...the AT&T MPx200 does not have MMS.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted May 22, 2004 Report Posted May 22, 2004 If you meant the second...the AT&T MPx200 does not have MMS. It's stupid how AT&T can miss one key (but poorly written) piece of software off of the phone.
Guest nickcornaglia Posted May 23, 2004 Report Posted May 23, 2004 Boy that was a dumb statement. I just showed the settings for it. What I should have said was....I'm not sure that people use MMS here they was they supposedly do elsewhere. I think they carriers here just promote it for picture messaging. MMS is worthless if you ask me....just use the email built into the smartphone to send pics at sounds.
Guest dRPeppir Posted October 15, 2004 Report Posted October 15, 2004 just tried on my c500 worked once and then stopped working any idea how i can get text mesages?
Guest nickcornaglia Posted October 15, 2004 Report Posted October 15, 2004 There are no settings for text messages, you either subscribe to the service or not, I believe.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted October 16, 2004 Report Posted October 16, 2004 Also check the SMS service center number in SettingsTelephonyCall Options
