Guest mcwarre Posted March 20, 2004 Report Posted March 20, 2004 I am looking to buy a PocketPC. I'm not really sure what to go for. It must have bluetooth, WLAN (in-built if poss) and 2 card slots so I can add accessories without losing memory. I also want it to be pretty robust for when I drop it! Apart from that I know nothing about them. Ideas anyone? Cheers, Mick
Guest rikwebb Posted March 21, 2004 Report Posted March 21, 2004 Try the HP iPaq 2200, its about £220 It has 2 card slots 1xSD, and 1xCF. It has BT, but no WLAN - but a CF WLAN card can be added when needed. Its fairly robust, but if you are likely to drop it, I suggest you buy a hard case. Hope this helps Rik
Guest squall Posted March 21, 2004 Report Posted March 21, 2004 why not come have a chat with us about it! irc.xnet.org port 6667 #pocketpc Oh and remember when you get your device modaco has a smartphone section! Personnally i went for a xda2 - pocketpc with grps suits my needs - this is of course more expensive. For a standard PPC id prob agree with rikwebb on the HP iPaq 2200
Guest smeg36 Posted March 21, 2004 Report Posted March 21, 2004 I say go for the Toshiba E800. They have a bluetooth or wifi model, so you can choose which you want built in. Also, two expansion slots, CF & SDIO. Plus the VGA screen!!!! You can`t beat this screen. I am using mine right now, and there is no side scrolling on this site.
