Game Emulators

Hi there, I'm a newbie here and need some advice regarding my orange spv E200.

I have done the OTA and have pocket TV and some games on my phone. I would like to put a game emulator on it but not sure how.

I found the web site but found the files confusing and when I down loaded them I didn't know where the folders or files went.

Could any one help me please?

PS I'm a girl so I'm easy confused with techie talk!

ok - half way there....

stuck on

Place your ROM image files (.smc or .fig) in the same folder as PocketSNES.exe.

(where are these ROM image files?)

Create a shortcut on the programs menu to PocketSNES.exe.

(how do you create a short cut?)

Run PocketSNES from the programs menu

(does this mean the programs menu on the phone?)

OK - story so far....

I have created a folder in Storage CardProgram FilespocketSNES

Here I have placed the pocketSNES.exe file in it and a game, as I only have one at the moment. I created a shortcut to the games folder and when I use the phone I can access it but it says...

PocketSNES is not a valid windoews CE application.

Could anyone advise me on what to do next, please?

You have to get the ROM files from somewhere else. They are images of the actual games and are generally copyrighted.

So unless you own the games and have a legitimate method of making ROM images of them you SHOULDN'T have roms for them.

Please don't ask on here for ROMs because MoDaCo does not condone or allow trading in copyrighted software.

are you sure you have downloaded the ported version from the link above?

I have PocketSNES-1.12.200-SRC.zip, which seems to have a couple of folders and text files in.

PocketSNES.exe and PocketSNES-1.12.200-SH3.zip, all taken from the link above.

I have done what the instructions tell me to do but still have the windows CE error.

I'm not bothered about the ROM files, it's trying to get the thing to work at the moment.

Sounds like you are downloading the wrong file.

The only file to download is labeled Binary for Smartphone (unsigned)

that is a single .exe file
