Guest Baddass Posted March 20, 2004 Report Posted March 20, 2004 seems really good to me.........mine never buzzed a lot before, but all the buzz has gone now, and sound on calls is great poor orange, they have endless abuse form the e200 users saying "why does my handset buzz? fix it!!" and when they do ppl aren't happy still.........it sounds as good as any other phone ive had, in the end it's a mobile telephone, it's never gunna be perfect! only my opinion!
Guest Palindrome Posted March 20, 2004 Report Posted March 20, 2004 So far, that's about 7 hours since updating, there's been no buzzing at all. :) As for the sound quality, well, it is a bit tinny but I don't really care about that. The main thing is the quality is clear and audible compared to the hornets nest I had before. I'd say 'well done Orange', but this should have been sorted before the release. At least they got it sorted before I changed the phone to one that allowed me to make out the person I was talking to.

Are you for real??? :shock: You pay good money for a product which is advertised to give you x,y & z - & it consistently fails to provide you with said services, even to the extent of being unusable as a phone (its primary function) and you say "poor Orange"??????????? Yeah, they fixed it - 4 months later! :evil: & why shouldn't people complain? If I bought another product with similar problems that couldn't be fixed IMMEDIATELY, I would have taken it back to the shop & got my money back. But not with Orange of course, oh no ... I'm tied into a 12 month contract which started BEFORE i ever even saw the phone!! & when I send it back for replacement, & the replacement has an IDENTICAL problem, I'm told I have to wait 2 weeks for tech support to get back to me ... aftre which time, I can no longer return the phone & cancel the contract, because I am beyond the 14 day return policy time limit!! :evil: As far as I'm concerened, Orange have completely shot themselves in the foot with the e200 fiasco. As soon as an equivalent SP2003 device is available, I'll be changing to it. & at the end of my cointract period, I'll be changing operators. & I will go on complaining about it until then coz I am ENTITLED to!! :twisted:
Guest Baddass Posted March 21, 2004 Report Posted March 21, 2004 whoa!! chill out!!!! :) i wasn't meaning to defend orange like that.........i totally agree that orange should be supplying a first class product first time and i realise ppl have had no help fom orange tech or replacement team at all. i think ur in a totally different position to me as i was fully aware of potential problems b4 i got the phone (thanks to Modaco! :lol:) but if i had bought it with no knowledge then yeah, i bet i would be just as pissed as u are about it.........in the end i bought it as apart form a few bugs and things i love the phone.......and in my eyes theyve done a good (not great) job of sorting some of them out with this update........ but u are def entitled to complain if ur unhappy with it there was no offence meant mate :lol:
Guest londonlad Posted March 21, 2004 Report Posted March 21, 2004 yeah i feel your pain, i only joined orange for the first time recently, its not the network i thought it was, wish someone had told me :roll: but anyway, thats exacly what it sounds like, two tins and a piece of string. trust HTC to go overboard. i wouldnt complain if it didnt kinda sting in my ears. compared it to other phones, T610, 7250 and it keeps some bass. probably have to sell it now :roll:

Posted from my SmartPhone! i know what u mean........if ur not prepared for the E200's downfalls when u get the phone then ur bound to be a little disappointed in some areas......at least orange are TRYING to help us out and are listening to what we are saying about the bugs........hopefully mroe updates to follow........things can only get better (damn it, i feel like D-REAM!!)
