Guest VR6Pete Posted March 21, 2004 Report Posted March 21, 2004 I'm about to make a purchase of a USB Blue Tooth Adaptor so I can use my phone around the house. Problem being, which one? the market is totally flooded with different one's that claim this that and the other. I would like to be able to use my phone when im chilling downstairs under 100m away from my PC... So what's the best Adaptor to go for that has a decent range on it? Thanks in advance, Regards Pete
Guest TheMadScot Posted March 22, 2004 Report Posted March 22, 2004 http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/Bluetooth.html I purchased the one right at the very bottom of the page - it's got a damn impressive range and isn't overly large. It uses the Widcomm (sp?) bluetooth stack and has quite comprehensive installation instructions. I'm used to MSI components as my desktop PC has an MSI motherboard, and I can vouch for their build quality and reliabiity. I'm using it as an inexpensive means of creating a wireless network between my desktop (using a Logitech DiNovo) and laptop. I did *briefly* test is with my E200 and it picked it up near instantly. You'd be hard pushed to find it cheaper elsewhere than listed. Hope this helps.
