active sync problems

this is driving me nuts. I had installed xp pro over xp home and it then wouldn't even start active sync, it was fine before. tried everything, eventually did a system restore as there were other problems too. now have xp home back and a fresh start.

still however having problems, din't connect the cradle first, reloaded outlook and active sync and when i do get connected it tries to connect from the computer end, but is just locked into this mode. the phone connects for about 2 secs but then disconnects.

tried deleting htc usb, uninstalling, reboot and reinstalling, etc, but no joy.

am at my wits end, want to update e200 before monday.

Problem sorted and was caused by Norton blocking the connection.
