Need help with SPV purchase

Help please...so many options

Currently have unlcoked SPV (original with firmware 1.6), live in Australia and it works perfectly on our Telstra network, but I want to replace it.

I can buy a new unlocked O2 or i-mate smartphone here in OZ with warranty etc. or I can save a bit and buy a used E200 when I visit London next month, which i can unlock (I hope) and it hopefully it should be buzz free?

Question is, should I buy a new one here or is the E200 better than O2 or i-mate? or should I just forget about the whole thing and keep using my SPV :?:

i would upgrade - however it may be better to do it in austrailia as if you buy one from the uk it will be hard to get one without a contract in a month..
