Guest drdemoman Posted March 21, 2004 Report Posted March 21, 2004 I got a spv E200 a few days ago. I tried the new update but it didn't work. Now if i want to switch on my phone as normal or put it in the cradle i get Card found then the enter bootloader screen then the 3 colour screen with 'Smart phone v1.03 doc'. I want to hard reset it to the factory default but instead this happens. I hold down the camera button and power button and i get the Card Found then enter bootloader and i then hold down the joystick and i get the menu (i followed instructions from the hard reset post) At the top is 'Voyager DIAG v0.33 DOC' and i see a list of numbers 0-8. Next the 8 is 'x Storage'. When i press 8 it says Erase Storage Storage Erase OK Waitting Reboot.... Then it switches off then comes back on to show the bootloader stuff again. I could really do with some help. Please. Thankyou for you time, Luke
Guest drdemoman Posted March 21, 2004 Report Posted March 21, 2004 Well ive fixed it now. Didn't realise my front usb slots would be different to the ones on the back. Oh well. Sorry to bother you all. Not to impressed with the blurry font!!
Guest ColdUser Posted March 27, 2004 Report Posted March 27, 2004 I had a similar problem. My phone is an SPV E200. I was using the latest upgrade from orange (ROM version updating from 1.1.1.4 to 2.6.1.3) The three colour screen (bootloader) says Smart phone v1.03 doc. I usd the USB ports directly onto the motherboard. Running the uprade (VoUpgradeUt.exe) with the phone in the cradle (bootloader displays USB), crashed the first time. Subsequently after resetting the PC, resetting the phone the upgrade complained that it can't make contact with the phone. I couldn't get it to hard-reset. In the end I tried one last time (5th time) before begging for help on this forum and mysteriously the upgrade picked back up. 100% updated and auto-reboot and just a little quirk that the phone didn't boot all the way first time. Soft reset, then it boots into a 'safe mode' which then resets and gives you the default home screen. Weired..but a nice relief. The moral: it's microsoft software, press the buttons, delete anything it will let you near, press more buttons, kick your pc and eventually the upgrade will pbbly work.
Guest zekedk Posted March 31, 2004 Report Posted March 31, 2004 Hi, Just to share my fustration on m$ / orange update. I had the same problem. When i ran the orange update i got a Win XP error: SmartPhone RUU AppName: voupgradeut.exe Appver: 2.4.0.0 ModName: voupgradeut.exe Modver: 2.4.0.0 Offset 00007cb4 I tried a lot of times without turning off the phone, and eventually when it didn't work I changed computer (also a pc running xp), and then the update worked :). When finished the phone didn't go any further than to Windows Mobile screen, so i did an hard reset, and then it worked as before  yehaa..
