Guest MoRFLeZ Posted March 22, 2004 Report Posted March 22, 2004 Go to www.customcabbage.co.uk either with your phone or your PC - and you can tweak your Operator name .. as well as other stuff.
Guest Maverick Posted April 26, 2004 Report Posted April 26, 2004 erm... How do I find my operator number.. I am on Airtel India
Guest Posted April 26, 2004 Report Posted April 26, 2004 Have a look at the info on GSM World concerning roaming http://www.gsmworld.com/roaming/gsminfo/index.shtml>here (it gives the network code for each network listed). Details for Indian networks are http://www.gsmworld.com/roaming/gsminfo/cou_in.shtml>here.
Guest muzzio_giovanni Posted April 26, 2004 Report Posted April 26, 2004 i read that whit reg editor i can change the name of the mobile operator whit, for example,a name or what i want.My question is this : if i put the name of a file.gif,do you think that he can work?In other words can visualize the image instead of the text?
Guest ferret Posted April 26, 2004 Report Posted April 26, 2004 if i put the name of a file.gif,do you think that he can work?In other words can visualize the image instead of the text? No, as the current way only has text in registry key. You could try putting a filepath in if you want but you'd only get "Storagemypicture.gif" instead of "Orange".
Guest muzzio_giovanni Posted April 26, 2004 Report Posted April 26, 2004 i try with the path,of course, ( "storage cardvodafone.gif" ) but don't work he visualize "storage"
Guest BrAGoL Posted April 27, 2004 Report Posted April 27, 2004 i guess it only recognizes a text file... unlike with the nokia units that you can assign an image... Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest HuskerDu Posted April 27, 2004 Report Posted April 27, 2004 Is there any limitation in numbers of letters you can use in the string value? ie: my operator is TIM and i change it to TIM plus my whole name, 13 letters total...
Guest ferret Posted April 27, 2004 Report Posted April 27, 2004 Is there any limitation in numbers of letters you can use in the string value? ie: my operator is TIM and i change it to TIM plus my whole name, 13 letters total... Haven't heard of a limitation. Try it, dare you to!
Guest scott2eyes Posted April 27, 2004 Report Posted April 27, 2004 Has anyone figured out a way to change the name of the "radio off" mode? (As it's displayed in place of the Carrier name in the Carrier plugin?) "Aeroplane" really doesn't reflect what I use it for...
Guest BrAGoL Posted April 27, 2004 Report Posted April 27, 2004 @HuskerDu i already tried 10 characters... and it worked... don't have any idea if it's more than that... Posted from my SmartPhone!

Guest shawzhanc Posted May 9, 2004 Report Posted May 9, 2004 when i go into my reg editor there are no values in this menu !!!!! You have to create a new key in the registry, try using google translation page to translate the french site linked in the earlier posts. :)
