problems with my new spv e200, please read to help!

hi evry1, i am new here.

i have just aquired an spve200, my dad upgraded his contract, kept his old phone, and i had the spv. i have bought a pay and go sim and registered that with orange using the spv's imei number.

the problem is, when i have got the sd card in it and try to turn it on it will go to the windows screen and then shutdown, but without the sd card it is fine, what could cause this, could orange have tried locking this fone, because the sim recieved with the update has not been registered???

please help me

If you're talking about the 8MB card that came with the phone, it might be a faulty one. Trust me, there's nothing exciting on it anyway, so either find someone with a card reader to format it for you, or just ask the shop you bought it from for a replacement. Might also be helpful to find another SD card to try it out. If it's the phone that at fault here, put it back in the box and exchange it for a fresh one.
