Guest Hugh G Posted March 22, 2004 Report Posted March 22, 2004 msmobiles says they tested and verified. interesting. now all i need to do is find the leaked version. screw att and waiting for them to decide if they maybe want to. http://msmobiles.com/news.php/2360.html
Guest mpd98 Posted March 22, 2004 Report Posted March 22, 2004 Hmmm...how annoying. 'Doesn't work on MPx from Orange'. With Orange seemingly removing the MPx200 from stock, doesn't look like we'll ever get it.  Bugger. Matt.
Guest TheMadScot Posted March 22, 2004 Report Posted March 22, 2004 Orange haven't removed the MPx200 from stock; the company I work for still has a few in stock and some more on order from them - I guess they've just dropped it from their own inventory. As to the update not working with the Orange MPx, well - that's probably due to the update code looking for a prior AT&T rom image before updating. Someone will probably get around this somehow...
Guest scott2eyes Posted March 22, 2004 Report Posted March 22, 2004 I'm hoping the reason Orange are out of stock is because they are busy updating the software on the phones they have, so that people won't buy one one day and then see the updated version in the shops a week later... What, I can dream, can't I? :)
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted March 22, 2004 Report Posted March 22, 2004 Hmmm...how annoying. 'Doesn't work on MPx from Orange'. Don't believe everything you read there :)
Guest FloatingFatMan Posted March 22, 2004 Report Posted March 22, 2004 Don't believe everything you read there  Hmm... don't care to expand on that comment a bit do you awarner? :) Are you implying it DOES work on Orange phones, or just that Jazek is lying again? FloatingFatMan
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted March 22, 2004 Report Posted March 22, 2004 Let's say he has been misinformed again. Unfortunately it looks like the update will not be released so anyone playing around with leaked versions will lose their warranty because it's not a simple process to downgrade if you have problems.
Guest Jiff Lemon Posted March 22, 2004 Report Posted March 22, 2004 Can you expand on that? Are you saying "will not be released" because for example, whilst in theory you can upgrade, performance is crap? Or will not be released because the networks want us to buy new phones?
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted March 22, 2004 Report Posted March 22, 2004 At this moment in time it no one has enough information to say if the update will or will not be definately released, but from the information I have it's not looking to good. I for one hope they will release it as I look forward to playing with it.
Guest phonesmarts Posted March 23, 2004 Report Posted March 23, 2004 if they do, it would still be compatible with Att, right?
