Guest pern Posted March 22, 2004 Report Posted March 22, 2004 Mobile Explorer is a PC-program that looks and works like a FTP-program but with WinCE-Devices. So you can use it both with MS Smartphones and PDAs. The program requires that MS ActiveSync is installed. The program can be downloaded for free at: http://www.jabutec.comMobileExplorer.gif
Guest Vector Posted March 22, 2004 Report Posted March 22, 2004 This looks nice! Will try it later :)

Guest nickcornaglia Posted March 22, 2004 Report Posted March 22, 2004 I'm not trying to be difficult but.... With the exception of the Battery & Memory State, Cant I move files on to and from the phone using Explorer on my PC?
Guest nedge2k Posted March 22, 2004 Report Posted March 22, 2004 Gret app. Much better then usin explorer. Is there any chance of implementing a Registry Editor as this would be a very useful tool to have, especially for E200 users who's phones crash when trying to search the registry with the PHM software an would avoid havin to download over 300mb of software from microsoft just to use the Remote Registry Editor that comes with it.
Guest rexyoung0613 Posted March 23, 2004 Report Posted March 23, 2004 .exe Can't be executed! error error error!!!!! awesome awesome awesome !!!!!!!
Guest nedge2k Posted March 23, 2004 Report Posted March 23, 2004 the exe is for the PC not the phone.
Guest pern Posted March 23, 2004 Report Posted March 23, 2004 That is not planned for the Mobile Explorer, but it's a great idea. We wrote this app bequase we needed a function library to access the files etc on the device. At the moment we are also working on a Back-up/Restore/Sync program and a Offline Browser/Avantgo clone . These will also be available as Freeware. Gret app. Much better then usin explorer. Guest BrAGoL Posted March 23, 2004 Report Posted March 23, 2004 great looking app!!!:) will it run on any windows OS?
Guest pern Posted March 23, 2004 Report Posted March 23, 2004 Well ;-) Not on Win 3.11 and below .. But Win 95 and above should work fine. great looking app!!!:) will it run on any windows OS?
Guest sonofabit Posted March 23, 2004 Report Posted March 23, 2004 Is there any chance you could post the file here as the site is blocked by the firewall?
Guest nickcornaglia Posted March 23, 2004 Report Posted March 23, 2004 I take my comments back...it is handy. For some reason it locks up everytime I try to close it using the windows X button, saying "Windows encountered a problem....do you wish to send the error report to MS, blah, blah, blah" (Windows XP) But if I use File-Exit or F4....it's fine! Also, could you add a way to default to a folder on the PC Side? Or remember the last folder you were in. I agree a Reg Editor would be a cool addition as well. Thanks for the app. Nick
Guest Taoski Posted March 23, 2004 Report Posted March 23, 2004 is it any quicker with the file transfers?
Guest pern Posted March 23, 2004 Report Posted March 23, 2004 We will fix the exit bug and a also add a "remember last folder" feature. I take my comments back...it is handy. Guest kjk Posted March 23, 2004 Report Posted March 23, 2004 thanx for great software waiting for update
Guest BrAGoL Posted March 24, 2004 Report Posted March 24, 2004 Well ;-) Not on Win 3.11 and below .. But Win 95 and above should work fine. of course, not on 3.11... am just wondering cause your screenshot was taken from win xp... justalos want to know if there's a compatibility issue... :)
Guest pern Posted March 24, 2004 Report Posted March 24, 2004 There should be no problems to use it. This version is written in VB6 . This since we know that a lot of people don't want to or are not allowed to install the .NET Runtime on there computers. And we wanted that as many as possible should be able to use it. And that we will use this code-library in other applications also (Back-up/Offline Browsing etc). We have the same code in .NET and we will release a .NET version later also. Actually we wrote the first version in .NET. of course, not on 3.11... am just wondering cause your screenshot was taken from win xp... justalos want to know if there's a compatibility issue... :)
Guest BrAGoL Posted March 24, 2004 Report Posted March 24, 2004 clearly explained...:) thanks a lot for the soft!
