Mobile Explorer is a PC-program that looks and works like a FTP-program but with WinCE-Devices. So you can use it both with MS Smartphones and PDAs.

The program requires that MS ActiveSync is installed.

The program can be downloaded for free at: http://www.jabutec.com

Gret app. Much better then usin explorer. Is there any chance of implementing a Registry Editor as this would be a very useful tool to have, especially for E200 users who's phones crash when trying to search the registry with the PHM software an would avoid havin to download over 300mb of software from microsoft just to use the Remote Registry Editor that comes with it.

That is not planned for the Mobile Explorer, but it's a great idea.

We wrote this app bequase we needed a function library to access the files etc on the device. At the moment we are also working on a Back-up/Restore/Sync program and a Offline Browser/Avantgo clone . These will also be available as Freeware.

Is there any chance you could post the file here as the site is blocked by the firewall?

I take my comments back...it is handy.

For some reason it locks up everytime I try to close it using the windows X button, saying "Windows encountered a problem....do you wish to send the error report to MS, blah, blah, blah" (Windows XP)

But if I use File-Exit or F4....it's fine!

Also, could you add a way to default to a folder on the PC Side? Or remember the last folder you were in.

I agree a Reg Editor would be a cool addition as well.

Thanks for the app.

We will fix the exit bug and a also add a "remember last folder" feature.

There should be no problems to use it.

This version is written in VB6 . This since we know that a lot of people don't want to or are not allowed to install the .NET Runtime on there computers. And we wanted that as many as possible should be able to use it. And that we will use this code-library in other applications also

(Back-up/Offline Browsing etc).

We have the same code in .NET and we will release a .NET version later also. Actually we wrote the first version in .NET.

of course, not on 3.11...
