How to stop the incessant beeping?

Hi,

I love this phone, but I have one issue.

When reminding me of an appointment, the calendar beeps numerous times and repeatedly until I hit "dismiss".

Does anyone know of a way to tell it to only beep once or twice? I downloaded power calendar, but it doe not seem to have an option that helps.

I once somehow found the menu you're looking for and I've never been able to find it again. It's the oddest thing. The menu has the option of setting how many times an alarm or reminder will repeat. I wish I could find it again, it's been driving me up a wall knowing it exists without knowing where.

Might help to specify that this thread is related to the Samsung i600.

Thats easy...:

Programs => Settings => Profiles => Click Menu button => Click edit.

There are your settings...

I don't know or care about other phones I don't own, so I can't say if it's a unique topic or not. This thread was moved from the i600 forum and that's worth specifying for mere mortals like myself that don't live and breathe smartphones.

That's not it. That won't let you determine how many times a reminder or alarm goes off.

Yeah,

Deyth's right, that does not allow you to control the number of beeps (or activations of the sound) and how often before an appointment it goes off.

It's particularly annoying when you cannot get to the phone to hit the dismiss button.

Thanks for the help so far, any other ideas?

What's killing me is that I did this before. I set the alarms to only go off once. I do remember that however I got to it, at the time I thought how weird the path I took was, very counter-intuitive. I was groggy from having been woken up for the 3rd time by it on a weekend morning and I don't remember how I found it. This has to be the first sign of senility.
