nokia unlocking software

I read an old thread that maybe one day a nice app would be out that would allow you to generate the unlocking code for a dct4 Nokia by using the phones IMEI number.It would appear that this still hasn't shown yet(unless someone knows otherwise).

I have an app on my pc from www.unlockme.co.uk that works fine on the pc but wondered if it could be tweaked to run on smartphone

Why would you want to do this from a phone?

Do you unlock alot of nokias while walking the streets :)

i only wanted it as another showpiece for the smartphone....'oh and it can unlock your phone for you as well' sort of thing,I'm not too bothered about it ,just thought it'd be a nice app to have on the phone and make the price of a pint or two as well!!

There is source available..... if thats the only problem I will go ahead and find the source for you, if you are the man to port it to the smartphone. Of course nobody needs this kind of app but I think it would be cool to unlock other peoples phones just like that.... :)
