Guest roozbeh Posted March 22, 2004 Report Posted March 22, 2004 Hi..... i think ogm is divx with sound as ogg and avi is divx with sound as mp3.... is there any diffrence in performance and/or size between ogm and avi in pocketmvp? Thanks
Guest FloatingFatMan Posted March 24, 2004 Report Posted March 24, 2004 The AVI file format is not a media type itself but merely a container, with DiVX merely being one of the possible media formats it can hold. DiVX is one of the most common mpeg4 video codecs but by no means the only format that can be held in the container. The same applies to the audio format also. I'm not that familar with OGM so I'll let someone else answer that bit... As for size, the 2 are probably comparable if using DiVX video format, though from what I understand, OGM can hold multiple audio streams for different languages, so they could be larger... FFM
Guest smith2001 Posted March 24, 2004 Report Posted March 24, 2004 i have OGM files for enterprise, they are 233mb and the avi version is 350mb, quality is a little 'softer' and 'darker' on ogm but worth the massive cut down in size
