Sadly T9 is still not remembered even after the new update.

My phone's lost its words twice since the update came out.

Personally ive never got it remembering words, u always have to reset ur phone 4 some cockup every now and then. It's what i call a thinking mans predictive text, think of a diferent word similiar to the one ur lookin and shorten it. i.e go type in gone and shorten to go with backspace(delete), instead of changing to ur abc's

Yea, I know about that work-around but it still doesn't stop your phone forgetting the words. It just helps to get them back quickly when it does.

While taking absolutely NOTHING away from the person who came up with the workaround of storing a draft text with all your words in etc, personally I find it no use at all.

Because you can gaurentee that the way you find that your phone has once again forgot the words, is right in the middle of an important text you need send.

So you either go the old fashioned way, and use multi-tap to get it to enter the word (defeating the object of a work-around), or you revert to the workaraound and:

1) Postpone your current text.

2) Go through all the keypresses needed to get into your drafts folder

3) Open up the draft and begin to edit it.

4) Postpone that message.

5) Go back into drafts to find your orginal message,

6) Open it back up,

7) And then continue from there

Only of course for the phone to forget it soon after.

Thus the workaround will save you entering ALL your words again, but it doesn't help you in any way at the point of discovering the phone has forgot them again, which is usually when you need it most.

Its too early for me to say how mine behaves since the upgrade, as I am using my new XDA2 lots too, but if it transpires that it DOES still forget them, then I have to ask in all honesty, what the hell are Orange playing at?

I have lost all my data (as I knew I would of course), for this upgrade, that TRULY seems to have done very little for a LOT of users, and then also brought out an equally big bug, in terms of the SD Card issue.

And as mine was one of the none buxxing phones, this new really low volume 'quick fix' has p*ssed me off so much...

My E200 was a White Elephant in a lot of ways, with the errors and bugs it had.

But Orange potentially were to redeem themselves, we hoped, with the Update.

To instead make things even worse in a large number of cases, is a million miles worse their failing in the first instance.
