Guest nickcornaglia Posted March 24, 2004 Report Posted March 24, 2004 You can Try Thunderhawk which lets you see framed pages. Check it out in the main news forum.
Guest VR6Pete Posted March 24, 2004 Report Posted March 24, 2004 i found that thunderhawk kept crashing my phone
Guest Coucou Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 If you don't mind pages being reformated try www.jennerresearch.com Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest ultimasnake Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 or you can try my HTML cleaner , its still in beta an working on it like hell... but this supports frames at least in a way that the links will be displayed... you can suspect a even better version soon that will maybe include frames into an table or so :) http://cleaner.smart-resource.com
Guest MPXtricky Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 If your smartphone is Symbian based, you can't beat Opera. Checkout the site here: Small Screen Rendering Example picture optimized for a screen width of 176 pixels (Series 60).
Guest Palindrome Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 Shame that Opera refuses to release a version for the SPV. I use Opera on my PC and like it a lot (the integrated email client is a must as far as I'm concerned). It even comes with small screen rendering built into the PC browser ( :?: ).
Guest MPXtricky Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 Yeah man - I use it too (only just found out about the shift/F11 to do small screen rendering!). I couldn't get on with the email client though so I use 'The Bat!' instead. I found Opera was not deleting mail from the server once it d/l it to the PC. What version you on? Mine's: Version 7.23 Build 3227 Platform Win32 System Windows XP Java Sun Java Runtime Environment version 1.4
Guest Maverick Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 I use MyIE2 (www.myie2.com) in the office. Mainly for its 'ALT + ~' option, which makes the browser window disappear ! ;-)
Guest MPXtricky Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 You can Alt-Tab to another Window just as easy.... or hit Windowskey/M to minimise all open windows... we're getting off topic now - might not be long before a moderator jumps on us...
Guest Palindrome Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 What version you on? Mines exactly the same as yours, MPXtricky. Have you unchecked the 'Leave messages on the server' option in Mail -> manage accounts -> edit button -> incomming tab? But you're right. I can almost feel the mods breathing down the back of this forum. Therefore, it would be interesting to have an integrated email program built into a Smartphone browser. Don't know the practicallity of it but it would check your email automatically everytime you go online (or so my idea goes). Actually, now I think of it, there is a lot of features that can be packed into a browser, skins, news, email and everything pocket internet explorer has but improved and more functional by a company who cares about the product rather than a throwaway program to be included in the Smartphone OS. Whoever makes a better browser than PIE is gonna have a lot of people interested. There you go, back on topic.
