Guest stuartd Posted March 24, 2004 Report Posted March 24, 2004 My SPV E100 seems to have developed stuck pixel or maybe even two together on the left edge of the screen towards the top. I don't have handset insurance and the phone is about 8 months old. Should I contact Orange about this ? Any advice ?
Guest martin Posted March 24, 2004 Report Posted March 24, 2004 Phone Orange CS and ask them to send you two replacement pixels. That's gotta be worth a laugh :)
Guest James Posted March 24, 2004 Report Posted March 24, 2004 they will not replace the phone with dead pixels... there has to be a certain percentage of dead pixels before they will replace. Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest cactusbob Posted March 24, 2004 Report Posted March 24, 2004 If you've got Orange Care, sit the phone on the radiator for half an hour. Then pop it in the freezer whilst turned on, the condensation will kill it for sure. Of course this depends on whether £15 is worth it for a few dead pixels? CB

I was quoted £100 'buy-in' plus £5 per month for Orange care smartphone
Guest Maverick Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 only £15? I was quoted £100 'buy-in' plus £5 per month for Orange care smartphone  Maybe u were on their 'Confirmed phone killer' list :)
Guest MPXtricky Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 ...it was £30 buy-in for a non-smartphone mobile. Anyways, I have 9 months to go before I can get another free new phone so no worries. If this one packs up in the meantime, I'll use my old one whilst it is repaired by Moto under warranty :)
Guest MARKUKCOUK Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 eh? I have Orange Care, my e200 had 1 dead pixel, and they swapped it no questions asked and no charge. arrived next day. this was last sunday
