  Andrew_Moderator : Q: Will current WM2003 devices (i.e. iPAQ 3950/5555) be able to upgrade to WM2003 SE?

Andrew_Moderator : A: Any Windows Mobile 2003 based device has the technical/software ability to be updated. However, there is a second layer of work that must be done by hardware manufacturers in order to provide an upgrade to their customers.  The decision of...

Amy : Q to Andrew: where can we send suggestions for improvements in WM sofware?

Amy : A: Please send your comments to [email protected]

  Amy : .

Andrew_Moderator : Q: How can MS expect developers to code for Smartphone devices when they have so many variants of the platform to work with. this is economically unviable surely?

Andrew_Moderator : A: Maintaining a consistent software platform is always a key priority for Microsoft. To that end, Microsoft has done a lot of work to minimize the development effort that developers and ISVs will have to undertake. In fact, there is no new SDK for...

Andrew_Moderator : ...this release, since the APIs required to make applications orientation and resolution independent have always been a part of the software.

Andrew_Moderator : A: For developers who used these APIs in the past, there will be no need to re-write their applications. For developers who have not utilized these APIs in the past, we have done some innovative things in the platform to make applications...

Andrew_Moderator : ...compatible with the new software. However, we are recommending developers use this opportunity to take advantage of these exciting new form factors and screen resolutions enabling customers to benefit from a richer application experience.

  Andrew_Moderator : .

EdH-MVP_MobDevices : Q: Will Windows Mobile Messenger suppport .NET alerts == the alerts you get in MSN messenger?

EdH-MVP_MobDevices : A: Nothing to announce but that is good feedback that will be passed back to the development team. Thanks.
